SINGAPORE MATH IN THE PHILIPPINES

The Singapore Math curriculum has created a name worldwide in producing students who are brilliant in Math. Many schools and educators around the world were awed by how the math curriculum of Singapore help their students to consistently land on one of the top ranks, if not the topmost rank, of Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS). TIMSS is a large-scale assessment taken by Grade 4 and Grade 8 students of participating countries to provide internationally comparative data about students’ achievement in Math and Science. These data inspired many schools all over the world to use the Singapore Math curriculum.

In the Philippines, many schools have adapted Singapore Math in their curriculum like Ateneo de Manila Grade School, Xavier School, Immaculate Concepcion Academy (ICA), KEYS Grade School, MGC New Life Christian Academy, Victory Christian International School, and Meridian International Learning Experience.
